The Hope Centre, a Meeting Place where Christian Hope is the anchor, and also the inspiration to serve others

Sunningdale Baptist church

Joyful in Hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer

Sunningdale Baptist Church is a Bible believing Evangelical faith community that seeks to provide a Place of Worship, Prayer, Welcome, Teaching & Restoration in service to Sunningdale & its surrounding villages.

We are only one part of the wider church of Sunningdale and the global church of Jesus Christ, and we seek to support and bless other local churches, and others around us, whatever their background and interests.

The Hope Centre is our Worship and Meeting Place, and our ministry base for church family and community life, reflecting a wide spectrum of interests and concerns in society.

Are you looking for a outward focused Christian family, and place to connect with others? Or simply interested to know more about Christianity? Don’t hesitate to come and join us. You are very welcome!

After a pause due to Covid, we are able to meet on Sundays again at 10:30AM for our corporate worship times. You will find these times together to be relaxed and informal, and the teaching from the Scriptures relevant and practical. Other scheduled events happening each month, so check out the Activities Tab (still subject to Covid constraints, so please ask)

Just before Covid arrived,we had just completed facilitating and leading the Bible Society’s ‘The Bible Course’ and ‘The Prayer Course’ to encourage and support those wanting to know lay a good foundation in their Christian faith. We have also previously led the ‘Freedom in Christ Course’ and the ‘Grace Course’ to help strengthen and disciple those who have already take the wonderful step of committing their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. It’s been great to deepen our relationship and support of one another through the use of such materials in small group settings. We are now prayerfully considering what is now possible.

Whatever happens, we have known Father God speak to us about being “Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction, Faithful in Prayer”, and about being a “House of Prayer for all Nations” - such wonderful words to press into as we see almost everything around us being shaken. May we be found faithful to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Lets break out ofhabitual (butnow unnecessary) isolation and explore the renewed opportunities to be with others. It will take a determined effort, but it is needful.

(Rev. 1:8)

Thankfully we are still able to meet at the Hope Centre, and now with restrictions further relaxed we will have special Easter service at 10:30AM. Steps will be taken to ensure it’s a safe gathering given the ongoing risk
